How comfortable does the term obedient love seem at first? To some, it may seem completely reasonable, while others might consider it contradictory. As we examine it more closely, the hope is that its truth and meaning will become increasingly clear as we discover how it relates to the ultimate meaning of life. What Is Truth? We encounter claims about truth every day. Some people say truth is what can be proven. Others say everyone has their own truth. Still others believe truth depends on who is speaking, what they have experienced, or what they believe. But consider something ordinary: two people look at the same tree. One recognizes an oak. Another recognizes that it is diseased. A third understands how its roots, leaves, and branches sustain its life. They may recognize different things, but they are examining the same tree.
